2021 Close-up Photographer of the Year

2021 Close-up Photographer of the Year

The close-up photographer competition is organized by Tracy Calder and Daniel Calder.

NOTE: All the images uploaded in the competition should be close-up, macro or taken with a microscope.

“Any image that shows the subject closer and in greater detail than would be seen with the naked eye is counted as a close-up photograph and can be entered in the competition.

‘Close-up’ is the spirit of the competition, but not its definition. We aim to show small flora and fauna in the wider environment and slightly wider details of the landscape around us as well as scaling in to macro, extreme macro and then to the microscopic.

The 2021 close-up photographer competition is open to both professional and amateur photographers from any country.

23 May 2021

Entrants aged 18 years and above can enter the following eight categories:
Butterflies & Dragonflies
Plants & Fungi
