According to a press release by Reagan Authur, the Knopf Publisher and executives Vice President earlier this morning announced Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s next book, Notes onGrief.  The book, which is an expansion of the writer’s essay which was published last September by New Yorker would be published by Reagan Author on May 11 of this year.

Reagan Author described the book as “an exquisite work of meditation, remembrance, and hope, written in the wake of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s beloved father’s death in the summer of 2020.

“This book fundamentally connects us to one another as it probes one of the most universal of human experiences,” said Arthur in a press release. “Notes onGrief is a book for this moment—a work readers will treasure and share now more than ever—and yet it will prove to be durable and timeless.”

The book which was inspired by the rage of the pandemic-COVID-19, sudden death of her father due to Kidney failure, the cultural dimensions of unavoidable loneliness and grief caused by the pandemic and many more was part of what prompted her to write.
