Submit Your Writing for the 2021 Toyin Falola Prize

The Toyin Falola Prize is accepting submissions for its 2021 prize.

The Prize is administered annually by literary magazine Lunaris Review in honor of, Toyin Falola, a Nigerian historian and distinguished professor of African Studies is now accepting submission for its 2021 second year prize.

The theme for the Prize is “Africanfuturism.” Writers are encouraged to fully explore them as well as bring their own interpretations to them. There is no entry fee.

ELIGIBILITY

Writers must be aged between 15 and 35 at the time of submission.

The submission period runs from January 15 to May 15. The winner will receive a cash award of $2,500.

Submission Guidelines.

  • Submissions should be between 1,500 to 4,500 words.
  • Entrants should submit only one story.
  • Submission must be the writer’s own work. Only unpublished work will be considered.
  • All submissions should be sent to prize@lunaris.com.ng with the subject SUBMISSION FOR THE TOYIN FALOLA PRIZE.
